Anyone who owns a pet probably has zero trouble admitting that their animals (and birds and fish, too) are part of the family. Truly. And as such, their furry friends are entitled to all the perks and benefits of being a family member, including travel. “Green Certified” RV: What is it?
These days, the craze with everything is to go green. If cars, homes, and businesses can go green, then why can't your RV?
To ensure the RV is indeed "Green Certified," it should have a sticker on it that denotes that fact. To obtain this sticker, companies such as TRA Certification, Inc. or NTA, Inc. have to inspect the RV to verify it meets their standards before okaying the green certification.
The inside of your Green Certified RV vehicle is just as important as the outside. Check to make sure all windows and vents are closed and completely shut. Empty out and de-frost the refrigerator and freezer to avoid leaving any leftover food behind. To sidestep pest problems, set traps, leave fabric softener sheets inside the vehicle, and block off any tiny entrances critters might crawl through.
